Each quarter, you will be required to do a project that will help you connect what we are learning to your personal life. These projects will be focused one the theme for that quarter and should be done at home. I will give you details about the project and the due date at the beginning of each term, so you will have enough time to complete quality work
Term 1 Project
What does it take to Survive Project!
This quarter, you will be learning about different people who had to survive. Europeans, Africans, and Native Americans had to fight to survive as their worlds came together. You will apply the lesson you learn in class and as you read at home to your own life.
The project: This quarter, you will be writing a Middle School Survival Guide for 7th graders.
This guide must include: -At least 15 tips to survive Middle School (Each tip should take 3-4 sentences to explain) -At least SEVEN of your tips have to connect to something you learned this quarter (These seven should have more sentences) -Your guide should be typed up -You can receive extra credit if your guide includes pictures

This term, our theme is “What does it take to survive?” We will be reading book to help you understand ways different people during this time learned to survive. You will be able to CHOOSE ONE book you want to read. Your choices are:
